I love watching my kids do art and they really don’t like being bothered to look up at the camera, so I just roll with it and sometimes I get a few shots I like. I used a flash bounced off a wall to camera right and kept a fairly wide open aperture to play with the DOF a bit.

I liked this but decided to play around in Perfect Photo Suite 6 to see what I could come up with. Here a screen shot of those photo edits:
